Fun Days of Summer
Oscar got to experience his first neighborhood parade this June. He couldn't have been more thrilled--there were marching bands AND fire trucks ("wee-oo-wee-oo's") AND dogs AND people threw candy at you?!?!?! Boy oh boy. At one point, he adamantly exclaimed, "I LOVE this!!" It was sweet to behold.
Another fun outing that we all enjoyed, was taking Grampy Bob to the "Back to the 50's" car show at the state fairgrounds. There were thousands of vintage cars (ranging from 1930's to 1964) of every shape, size, and color. It was fun hearing Bob reminiscing about cars he grew up with, as well as seeing Oscar ooh-and-aaah over the "old-fashioned cars" and hearing him ask, "Daddy, can we buy it?" :) That, plus a corn dog and cheese curds made for a great day.
