Ruby: 3 Months Old!

Goodby, Grandpa Richard

Yesterday, heaven welcomed Sarah's father's father, Richard Schlomer. He was 91 and was out snowblowing--exactly how he'd want to go: active to the last! He will be sorely missed and is survived by a loving wife and a legacy of 4 kids, 12 grandkids, and 20 great grandkids. He was funny, stubborn, and avid hunter, farmer, and harmonica player.

Goodbye, Grandma Ruby

The world said goodbye to Ruby Lindell (Sarah's mom's mom) and heaven opened its doors to her on Tuesday, December 28th. She suffered from Multiple Myeloma (a bone cancer) and it was a blessing to have her relieved of her pain. But, we're going to miss her! She was a great woman--very witty and others-focused. She never got to meet her namesake in person, but I look forward to telling lil' Ruby about the woman she's named after!
